5 Best Wines Under $25

Start your weekend of right without breaking your wine budget in one night. These selections are based on my love of bold, buttery, and medium to full bodied wines. Here are some of my favorite wines under $25! Cheers!

Rombauer 2016 Carneros Chardonnay, $19

Rombauer offers a variety of wines for different price points. This particular vintage offers fruit from vineyards in the Carneros region, which combines efforts of select growers including the Sangiacomo and Rambauer families. This is a refreshing, creamy, buttery Chardonnay with tasting notes of vanilla, melon, and mango layered with apricot and crème brulee. A must for a warm Summer day or a get together with friends! A housewives delight!  Find at many wine retailers and directly from here – Rombauer 2016 Carneros Chardonnay.

Inconspicuous Zinfandel 2014, $20

Beverage Direct gives this a 90 point rating. It boasts notes of cherry, blackberry, and cinnamon. This is considered a medium body Zinfandel, but I find it to be bold, rich, and velvety without being too sweet. This is a fantastic evening wine to sit back and relax with after a day of wrangling wily kids! A winery direct wine, purchase through retailers like Total Wine.

Carson Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon, $11

You just cannot beat the value of this medium bodied, well- balanced Cabernet from Paso Robles. You’ll find just a hint of oak to compliment the berries. Paso Robles is outside of San Luis Obispo and boasts fantastic wines that I have found are on par with some Napa wines, but for a fraction of the price. For wine bargain hunters who don’t want to lose on flavor and quality, this is your region. Perfect to enjoy after dinner with a snack of chartecurie and cheese. Yes, I snack after dinner. A lot. Another winery direct wine you can get from here – Total Wine.

Meiomi Chardonnay 2015 – $21

This award winning Coastal California Chardonnay refreshes with layers of lemon and stone fruit, sweet aromas of butterscotch, shortbread, apples, roasted marshmallows, and spices. This is a just such a friendly, clean, smooth, fresh wine for any occasion. It’s a great wine if you are new to wine, throwing a party, or if you need a sure-to-please housewarming gift. Buy it at most wine retailers or here – Meiomi

Black Stallion Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 $24

This is the one! This is my favorite, my soulmate wine under $25! Wine Enthusiast gives this Cabernet a 90 point rating. This is a full-bodied bold, succulent, flavorful Napa Valley Cabernet. Tasting notes are cherry, cocoa, blackberry, and baking spices. Black Stallion Winery is located in the Oak Knoll district of Napa Valley on grounds of a historic equestrian center. This is a stunning winery that boasts a variety of elegant wines. Learn more about this winery and all of their wines here – Black Stallion Winery. This wine pairs beautifully with a juicy steak and/or an evening of binge watching!
