This Juniper Berry Cranberry Cocktail is sweet, piney, and screams the holidays! So I did a lot of cocktail shaking and testing for you. You are welcome. And I came up with a cocktail that will light you up brighter than a Christmas tree!

After spending a weekend in a log cabin at Big Cedar Lodge, I have been full on with my Christmas spirit! What You Need For This Cranberry Juniper Gin Cocktail
While this stunning cocktail may look like a big undertaking, it’s definitely easy.
The first step to making the best Christmas cocktail ever is to make your juniper berry simple syrup. Take a look at the video demonstration on my YouTube channel to whip that up first. Note that it takes only a few minutes to make. But it does take few hours to cool down and thicken, so plan on making ahead.
Once your simple syrup is made, gather up your fresh cranberries, chilled club soda, ice, and gin.
I love gin for this Christmas cocktail since the pine plays so well with the piney simple syrup. While they are both pine flavored, they have different flavor undertones.

Let’s make the best Christmas cocktail ever!
First, put the fresh cranberries into a glass. Use a Cocktail Muddler to Muddle them up. They will pop and start releasing their juices and color. Next, put your ice on top of the muddled cranberries. Then pour over your gin, juniper berry simple syrup, and give it a stir. Lastly, add your club soda.
The cranberries will rise to the top of the drink, and there will be pops of color from the juice released from the berries.

This beautiful Christmas cocktail recipe is a combination of fresh muddled cranberries, juniper berry simple syrup, gin, and club soda. Garnished with rosemary sprigs and sugared cranberries, it’s truly the best Christmas cocktail ever!
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons fresh cranberries
- 2 ounces gin
- 1 ounce juniper berry simple syrup
- 1/3 cup ice
- 4 ounces club soda
- 1 whole rosemary sprig garnish
- 1 lime peel garnish
- 4 sugared cranberries for extra sparkle!
Instructions

Put cranberries in a glass.
Then muddle them until they have burst.
Pour over your gin and juniper berry simple syrup. Give it a stir.
Then add your club soda.
Garnish with rosemary, lime peel, and optional sugared cranberries.
