Lightly spiced with a hint of creaminess, nuttiness, and a whole lot of banana bread flavor, this banana bread martini lets you have your banana bread and drink it too! This is your ultimate quarantini drink of 2020! This martini combines two of the biggest quarantine trends into a fun treat. It is also a good send off for the complete lock-down we have been under for months and cheers to a healthier beginning of the rest of 2020. I made this for Show Me St. Louis, so be sure to check out that segment at the bottom of this page or directly through this link.
For the last couple of months people have uplifted each other and found virtual ways to connect, inspire, and spread joy. Virtual happy hours and baking banana bread were two of the most popular happenings during quarantine. And making sourdough, of course!
This banana bread martini is a combination of rum, Frangelico, banana liqueur, and Rumchata. An extra grating of nutmeg and cinnamon lifts up the vanilla, hazelnut, and spiced rum notes to make this the best tasting banana bread in drink form. And it really does taste like banana bread!

Cheers To Summer Vibes
Summer is about a month away. The quarantine and restrictions we have all been living under lately are beginning to lift. People are aspiring for more “normal” life beginning this week. Oh, and e-learning is finally over after Thursday! Cheers and an extra spike of rum to that alone!
We have been taking the girls and our old dog, Lukas, on long walks these days to keep active. I pass so many signs of 2020 graduates and my heart feels for those kids. They truly missed out on some of the most memorable and special months of their last childhood school days. But they were part of a time of unity that will never be forgotten. The world came together virtually to motivate and share their celebrations in the most creative ways.
Businesses are re-opening. I know so many small business owners who suffered during quarantine. So remember to support your local businesses. And while the world may never go back to the “normal” we once knew, I believe we will all be stronger and more connected.
Now on to the ultimate virtual happy hour Quarantini of 2020!

New TV Is Back, Baby!
During quarantine I learned that my lock down life wasn’t that much different than my usual everyday life. I am definitely aiming for a little more excitement in the months to come! Let’s just say, getting my request to tape this martini for TV made me scream with joy, so… yeah, I need a new adventure ASAP!
Show Me St. Louis has all new episodes starting on Monday. I was so excited to get back to my baking and cocktail shaking segments! When I got the call that we were going to do a virtual zoom segment I truly was elated. While I love making IGTV recipe videos for you guys, I get even happier when I get to be on TV doing it! So I came up with this banana bread Quarantini as the first recipe to kick things off as we leave full quarantine and move into more hopeful days ahead.
This banana bread martini is simple to make. It does take a few special liqueurs like Frangelico (hazelnut liqueur). However, they are easy to come by. And I always buy the tiny bottles when I am recipe developing or making specialty cocktails like this banana bread martini. And use that leftover rum and banana liqueur for bananas foster galette!
Thanks for making this banana bread martini! Please share this with all of your virtual happy hour buddies and on social media. And follow me on Instagram for exclusive IGTV recipes and food pics. Cheers to a safe and healthy Summer of 2020! XOXO, Sarita
