The Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was gorgeous, magical, and super long! It made me hungry for brunch! And what could possibly be more British than Scones with tea? Right? So today we are making Royal Wedding Day Scones! These scones are made with cake flour to give them a soft texture.
Mix your first three dry ingredients. Then, with you hands or a pastry cutter, mix in the butter until the mixture resembles pebbles. Then make a well in the middle. Mix together your egg and milk. Pour into the well, reserving about 2 tablespoons for an egg wash. Mix dough until it comes together. Then, turn onto lightly floured surface and form into a disc. Roll into a circle that is about 1/2 inch thick. Then, cut into triangles. Put onto a baking sheet and brush with remaining egg wash. then cook at 425 degrees for 13-15 minutes. Serve warm with clotted cream and jam or butter!
