Layered Berry Cheesecake Dessert has macerated berries with cheesecake mousse and butter cake to give a layered, festive dessert, perfect for summer!
Place strawberries and blueberries in separate bowl. Toss each with 1 tablespoon of sugar and 2 tsp. of lemon juice. Set aside to macerate.
In a large bowl,, use a hand mixer to whisk cream cheese with remaining sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Then, fold in whipped cream.
Layer your trifle cups: strawberries then cake then cheesecake mousse then blueberries.
Allow to chill for 30 minutes to set the no-bake cheesecake.
You can leave out the cake for a cheesecake mousse and berry dessert.
For a trifle, add in chunks of butter or angel food cake.
