Spicy Margarita

This Spicy Margarita has muddled jalapenos, Cointreau, clear tequila, and agave. Finished off with citrus salt, this is the best spicy margarita ever!

  • 3 ounces clear tequila
  • 1.5 ounces Cointreau
  • 1/2 of a jalapeno sliced then muddled
  • 2 limes juiced
  • 1 teaspoon agave nectar add more as desired
  • lime slice for garnish
  • salt for garnish
  • ice for glass

  1. Step 1: Take your glass and rub a lime slice along the rim to wet it with lime juice. Then crunch the rim into some salt that is spread out on a small plate. You can use any kind of  Margarita Salt. Fill it up with ice.

Step 2: Then you will use a  Cocktail Muddler to muddle up your sliced jalapenos. How spicy do you want to get here? Use 1/4 of your jalapeno for a little heat then go up to 1/2 for the full fiesta in your mouth. Muddling the jalapenos will release their juice, flavor, and spiciness.

Step 3. Use your cocktail shaker. Add freshly squeezed lime juice, Cointreau, tequila, and your muddled jalapenos. Shake it up!

Step 4. Pour over your ice, making sure to open up the mixer so that all of the jalapenos get into the spicy margarita so you actually have a spicy margarita!

Step 5: Enjoy your spicy margarita!
